When did you start working at the company?

Before joining Louvolite, I gained extensive experience in various sales roles across different industries. This diverse background equipped me with a wealth of knowledge and skills that I brought to my new position.

I began my journey with Louvolite as an Area Sales Manager in November 1999. As of this year, I am proud to celebrate a significant milestone: 25 years of dedicated service with the company.

Why did you choose the field you are in?

After trying my hand at various sports like football and golf without much success, I landed a job in a sales office at a company that supplied garage equipment. I really enjoyed the daily interaction with customers, but it was the engagement with the Sales Team that sparked my interest in becoming a sales person.

How far have you come since
you started?

We've just finished restructuring our Sales Division and I'm excited to share that I'm now the UK National Sales Manager, in charge of the UK Sales Team. In this role, I am responsible for leading and overseeing the entire UK Sales Team, ensuring we achieve our strategic goals and deliver exceptional results.

I started out as an Area Sales Manager, where I got my first taste of managing sales territories and building relationships with clients. After gaining valuable experience and demonstrating my capabilities, I was promoted to Senior Area Manager where I took on more complex responsibilities, managing larger territories and mentoring junior team members.

My journey continued as I advanced to Regional Manager. This position required me to oversee multiple areas, coordinate sales efforts across regions and drive growth on a larger scale. It was a challenging yet rewarding role that significantly expanded my leadership skills.

Most recently, I served as the Key Accounts Manager, focusing on our most important clients. This role involved nurturing long-term relationships, understanding client needs in depth and ensuring they received exceptional service. Each of these roles has equipped me with a diverse set of skills and experiences, preparing me for the next step as the UK National Sales Manager. I'm excited about the opportunity to lead our team and drive even greater success for our company.

What does your role entail, your day to day?

My role is extremely varied, with my primary focus being on maximising our commercial sales opportunities. No two days are the same, which is one of the reasons I enjoy it so much.

On any given day, I might be out visiting customers, building and maintaining relationships, understanding their needs and finding ways to better serve them. Hosting customers at our head office is another key part of my role, where I get to showcase our products, discuss potential partnerships and strengthen our connections.

How has Louvolite helped in your journey to where you are now?

The company has been super supportive, helping me grow in my career. From the start, they've given me the tools, training and opportunities I needed to succeed. I'm really grateful to everyone I've worked with and under, as they've always encouraged and supported me. Their advice and mentorship have been incredibly helpful, guiding me through challenges and celebrating wins. The positive and collaborative environment here has really helped me develop professionally.

We have an awesome team, full of talented and dedicated people who share the same goals. The camaraderie and teamwork make coming to work enjoyable and fulfilling. It's this strong team spirit that keeps me motivated and makes my career so rewarding.

Overall, the support from the company and the amazing team I work with are the main reasons I'm still passionate about and enjoying my career after all these years.
