When did you start working at the company?
I began my journey with Louvolite in February 2019, joining the Quality Control team. My primary responsibilities involve handling returned items, meticulously inspecting them to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards. Once assessed, I oversee the process of recycling and reintegrating these items back into production. This role has allowed me to develop a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of our products, contributing to the overall efficiency and sustainability of our operations.

Why did you choose the field you are in?
I initially pursued an education in motor vehicle maintenance and body repair at college, where I developed a strong foundation in technical skills and problem-solving. However, my career path took an unexpected turn when I stumbled upon an opportunity at Louvolite. I showcased my skills and commitment to excellence in every task I undertook, which ultimately led to my current position as Production Supervisor in the Shutters Department. This role may have been unexpected, but it has allowed me to leverage my technical background and dedication in new and rewarding ways, contributing significantly to the success of our team.
How far have you come since you started?

During this time, I was approached about a position in the warehouse, but my true interest lay in the shutter production role. Unfortunately, I missed the application deadline for the shutter position because I wasn't aware it had been posted until it was too late. Determined not to let this opportunity slip away, I reached out to the General Manager to discuss my interest in the shutter role and explain why I hadn't applied. The General Manager appreciated my enthusiasm and dedication, inviting me to visit the Shutters Department to get a better understanding of the role. After assessing my skills and commitment, I was soon appointed as the Production Supervisor. This transition marked the beginning of my journey in leading the team and contributing to the success of the Shutters Department.

What does your role entail, your day to day?
I have proudly been in this role since the beginning of the Shutters Department which started around four years ago. As the leader of a team of approximately 30 dedicated staff members, my role involves orchestrating a seamless and efficient production line for crafting made-to-measure plantation shutters and Perfect Fit shutter panels. Each day, I coordinate various tasks, ensuring that all team members are aligned and working cohesively to meet our production goals. This includes overseeing the workflow, managing schedules, addressing any operational challenges, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
